I know I've indicated I've been hard at work on this album for a while now and while I wish I could say I was at the finish line. The truth is, I'm not. Vocals are just about finished and then I'm going to have Troy Messerall come in and we'll be working through the tracks one by one adding Lap Steel Guitar and Electric Guitar where necessary.
It's an enjoyable process to slowly watch and listen to these songs as they slowly glue together. It's equally time consuming and also a source of uneasiness somedays. Music is interesting in that way for me. I've always found a home with it, but it's repeatedly tried to evict me. I posted a video on my instagram account and will continue to do so. I spent some time down here in the studio after a long day of work trying to finish up vocals for a few songs and am satisfied to report there's a little less to do tomorrow now.
The Flood will be rehearsing in preparation for our debut at the Edinboro Art & Music Festival this Saturday at 12:00 p.m. I've officially sold my first set of stickers on the website which is exciting! I really wanted to created a space here where people could dial into what I've been up to with my music and to provide opportunities for everyone to get a little something in return for their continuous support.
I'm glad some of you found your way here.
On a side-note I had a delicious Waffle today at a local spot called Smokey Martin's. It came up in several conversations throughout the day. If you're ever in the Meadville Area, head over to Smokey Martin's and get the Belgian Waffle. It's a true treat.
Back to it! Video below.
